(Start here: Because it has a STUNNING amount of science behind it, because it’s one of the few psychological models that is uncopyrighted (!!), and because it talks about what makes people different, for a start. But, perhaps more importantly, it breaks down beyond the 5 domains, into 30 individual “facets” (6 per domain). And, I have found (through research and stuff) that people’s scores in most of those facets correlate for a preference for specific game elements. For example, a high ‘Imagination’ facet score predicts a preference for fantasy settings, while a low Imagination score predicts a preference for realism. Liberalism
