FIDE ARBITER SEMINAR Duration There must be no more than 12 hours of play in one day. Tournaments other than leagues should last no more than 90 days without approval. (For such events results must be reported monthly.)
Tournaments finished after this go into the following months rating list. Hastings starts in late December and finishes in January. A player is unrated at the start of the event (so remains so for his opponents). However that player gains a rating with the January list. When the event is rated his games will be treated as if he had his rating from the beginning. FIDE ARBITER SEMINAR.
